Who we are
Liuteria Appino builds, repairs and restores musical instruments since 2006 and It's mainly specialized in double basses and gypsy-jazz guitars.
Any kind of reparation on classical and acoustic guitars, violins and cellos is made as well as bows rehairing.
Born in 1970, guitarist since I was a child, in 1996 following my passion for musical instruments I enrolled in the "Civica Scuola di Liuteria di Milano" under the guidance of the masters Lorenzo Lippi and Tiziano Rizzi.
After some collaborations with local luthiers I opened my workshop in 2006.
- 1998 Diploma of luthier operator, Civica Scuola di liuteria di Milano
- 2006 Ivan Appino's workshop in San Giorgio Canavese is born
- 2010 New workshop in the medieval old town of Romano Canavese
- 2013 Awarded with Eccellenza Artigiana brand, quality certification for handcrafted products, Regione Piemonte.
- 2018 Partecipation in the international exhibition Cremona Mondo Musica
